The actual point of crossing into middle age is that day that you become invisible to teenage girls.

@sandfanSo how old am I since I seem to be invisible to all women, regardless of their age?

I’ve been invisible to teenage girls ever since I became a teenage boy!

When a young woman smiles at a young man, he looks at himself to see what makes him attractive. When a young woman smiles at a middle-aged man, he looks over his shoulder to see who she’s smiling at.When a young woman smiles at an old man, he looks down to see what’s unzipped.

@sandfan, For me, it was when I was no longer invisible to teen aged girls. Completely ignored as a teen and young adult, since around 48 girls yell compliments from their cars as they pass me on my bike, and actually like to talk to me at parties. (No “dates” – that wouldn’t be a good idea.) Maybe girls are just looking for maturity. Too many men like me just don’t get it until around 50. For instance, I just realized this year that when my wife wants to redecorate, my instinctive “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” attitude is unwarranted. A small amount of money for paint and furniture can make her very happy. Duh.
