TimeWeaver is right; Leo’s response to Drew ought to reassure Alex. Think how upset she’d be if he tried to hide his attraction—-that would be totally out of character for him.

Because he can’t draw eyes, GT has no way to show why one woman is hotter than another. He can fix Drew’s nose, slim her figure, let her hair fall over her red top, but he can’t show us what Leo sees. By keeping Drew in profile, GT dehumanizes and objectifies her.

I can identify with Leo’s response – getting tongue-tied when wanting to speak to a “hottie”. Still happens…. I think Leo and Alex will be OK after the shock of his response wears off.
