Why use actual cold sore medicine when you can use salt? I like the home remedies, some tend to work better than drugs, not sure about this one though…

What I learned was to rinse the wound in salt water, not just pour straight salt on, but it all comes to the same thing. And it seems to work for all wounds, not just cold sores.

I dunno, maybe not just salt, but during the summer when we stayed at the shore, salt water seemed to help any sores heal much more quickly.
