Lawyers don’t have to be sworn in, because they’ll just lie anyway.

The second oldest profession (lawyers) have a lot in common with the oldest profession (Prostitution). They both do whatever you want for money.

Lawyers: Non-productive members of society who deal in the redistribution of wealth. They all think they are smart but can’t get by 1 round of Jeopardy.

@ananomooseOne difference between a prostitute and a lawyer is that the prostitute stops screwing you when you’re dead.

I feel the need to comment on these post for a number of reasons. 1) not all lawyers are shysters. 2) the comments in some of these posts seem to go beyond mere jokes. 3) Lawyers are monitored strictly by their provincial/state Law Society, more so than many other professions. My father is a lawyer – hard working & honest with strong ethics. Right now he is the only lawyer working full time in a town that had 4, two of whom are dealing with the loss of their homes and another with the loss of his business due to wildfires that burned 1/3 of our town. He’s busting his butt, burning the candle at both ends to meet the needs of people in town and in the surrounding area. I do not feel that these comments are in good taste and denigrating someone based solely on what they do for a living shows a lack of respect for all the hard work they do.
