“The temperature at the airport is 90 degrees, which is kind of stupid because I don’t know anybody who lives at the airport”….Al Sleet, the Hippy Dippy Weatherman.
It gets hot in the summer . . . why is that “news”? Breaking news: Scientists predict a cold winter, followed by a hot summer; Obama blames Republicans.
Reminds me of a story in Ray Bradbury’s The October Country; back in print! Don’t recall which title, but if it’s too hot, nobody can be bothered, but at just the right temperature, homicides peak.
And I’ve lived in Las Vegas where the temp once maxed at 120. No heat index, just pure hot, dry sun. Oh, excuse me. They don’t use “hot,” it’s always “warm” there.

Those were almost the exact conditions here, today. Oh….I see it’s cooled a little. 95° with a 103° index.

TV news use so many useless facts like heat index to keep us scared all the time.
