Yeah. Video is a really lame mashup. Shame on you, Greg.

Reality knocked that smile right off Knute’s face. So much for being a fool-hardy optimist. Crystal and me is on the same wave length.

Crystal is not too upset. Knute, on the other hand, looks surprised at the quick negative decision and dejected. C’est la vie…. Face it: “Tricky Dicky” [see video] is not very good (and that’s me trying to be charitable).

Oh God, should I even check this one out? I’m a little worried when even the strip characters themselves says it is awful… Aw, what the hay, I got nothing better to do. watches Well, at least it was short and not as awful as I was expecting from the name. It was BY FAR the best song that’s been done with the strip. Quill and Luann’s should take note.

I think the “woman is” was the better one, not saying it was very good, just that of the 4, it was the better one………….

Knute, that is really a sad excuse… Poor baby, wiped his smile right off. Crystal doesn’t care one way or the other, she is in her own world.

Crystal is kind of self-absorbed, I guess that comes from hanging out with ‘the blonde airhead’. With Knute, she doesn’t have to give too much of herself. Knute’s a hanger-on and grateful for what attention he can get.

This is why I find these arcs so tiresome – Knute has no depth, he’s a writeoff in terms of effort and emotion, so how can anyone be interested or involved in his doings? As far as comic relief, I find him flat as last week’s beer. In contrast Crystal comes off as evern more brittle, sardonic and cynical, but she’s knocking down straw men when she interacts with him. The whole thing just makes me impatient – it’s like being parked on a railway siding with nothing to read.

Wake me when it’s over, and please, Greg, no more lame songs. Painful doesn’t begin to describe the last one.

I liked “Tricky Dicky” and think it’s way better than Luann and Quill’s attempts. It took Luann and Quill hours to do just one song and only 5 minutes for Crystal and Knute to do theirs. Only thing is I wish it was longer.

As I have said before, Crystal and Knute look an awful lot like Luann’s parents. And I always thought Mom was pretty hot. If that’s an accurate comparison, then we would expect Crystal to have a practical nature underneath the glam. I suspect that “Casey” will do much better once Crystal takes over the production.

Uh-huh. But remember- these are high school kids. Not professionals.

It’s not just the song but the video is funny too. I can’t help but smile at the cat at the end. This is coming from someone who’s car broke down last night and had to get it towed. I needed the smile. The video started my day out good. THANKS GREG EVENS! It’ll to be interesting to have Quill/Luann and Knute/Crystal in a song compitation.

It’s funny that there are so many comments complaining about how bad the video is. That was kind of the idea. fwiw, it was bad enough to get a snicker out of me.

You malign Spiccoli at your peril, but how topical is the character today since that was 30 YEARS AGO! Yow…. I think Knute’s a watered-down version of Travis, Breckin Meyer’s stoner skater in “Clueless,” only even more bumbling and inept. And both movies were directed by Amy Heckerling, so big surprise the same character showed up.

Also, Knute’s shirt `grin` iphoney, iphailure, next would be iphantasy.

Relax, Knute. You have a hot girl on video, a video that’s yours to keep. And never know what the public might like if this goes viral.

Really? I didn’t get that impression…. Some morons people like it (kidding!) and some people don’t, but having a strong opinion about something doesn’t always translate to wanting to take it outside!

Why is Chrystal constantly adjusting her make-up?

I’m with mojitobaby – whenever these two appear together, it’s a big yawn and wait till next week for something better.

I don’t understand why the cartoonist bothered to create, post and link to something that he himself describes as crappy. Why go to all that trouble?

I saw the Tricky Dick vid, notice a day glo game show clip of Wheel of Fortune (why not The Price is Right or Jeopardy! or Who Wants to Be a Millionaire or Family Feud?)

Of course the video is not good. It’s not supposed to be good—that’s the whole point of the last couple of strips. Sheesh.

Seems a lot of people have got to find filth in every thing. Hope Greg did not intend it that way. Get your minds out of the gutter it is a comic strip and comics are or used to be for kids.
