Bringing Tellum in, or taking him out? I guess this has something to do with Morning Gloria’s brainstorm the other day while listening to Ted’s radio rant about terrorists being everywhere among us. —Maybe a “fake” kidnapping?
At about the same time that you can expect to see Shaky and the Brow.

I think that…it would have to be approached very carefully. The Moon Era is controversial and divisive at best. I think (and I’m one of the Moon Era’s biggest detractors) that there could be, indeed probably are, interesting stories involving the Coupe and the Moon people in Tracy…and I might not even mind seeing that story played out…but…yeah, I hope the current creative team, if they do a Coupe story or even a Moon story, really thinks about that story and how to approach it properly before they do it, because it could go so very wrong so very fast.
Two little terrorists will be lying there deadJust waiting for morning and Tellum, TedThey crossed Gloria and have paid the priceIt’s difficult to say if she was naughty or niceBut it’s just more fodder for Ted’s daily blatherWho’s sure to work himself into a righteous latherThe populace must be alarmed, be told what to thinkShout it a thousand times, so into their minds it will sinkHe’ll incite some patriot into violent vigilante actionAgainst someone perceived as being of middle eastern extraction They say that we are hated for being the land of the freeBut our freedom is fast disappearing, just between you and meNever trade liberty for the feeling of being secureOr you will get more security than you can endure.
Does that parking lot have any surveillance cameras?
I think you’re right, davidf42. A truck bomb is a neat way to dispose of the bodies—they’ll look like suicide bombers, or bunglers. Much smarter than my idea of cremating the bodies.
Schrecker. That’s got to be some form of “Schreck,” the German word for terror. Somehow I don’t think it’s a tribute to Max Schreck.
“Shrecker Broadcasting”? Clever bit of wordplay, both to the German word “schrek” (terror) and to “shreiker” which pretty much describes ultrarightwing radio.

Look at that last panel. Hasn’t Gloria ever heard of fingerprints?
crobinson019 over 13 years ago
@ Captain Kiddeo Yeah but she’s not going to leave the van—just the bodies
davidf42 over 13 years ago
Ummm, Chris, I do’t think so. I think that van is loaded with explosives.
Welcome back WW! Great verse again today!

If it wasn’t for you guys (and gals), I’d have a harder time figuring it all out! Good sleuthing, gang!

She’s delivering the dead terrorists to Ted Tellum. What a scoop!

You long for the speedy days of Locher? If he was still doing it we would still ba at the Plenty’s. Where have you been, on the moon?
ww: I was thinking about how we haven’t heard from you for some time and here you are. You haven’t lost you touch.

Great poem WW. Reminded me a bit of the basic concept of Michael Crichton’s “State of Fear”.

Wow, WW, nice poetics! Great way to start the day.
As far as Gloria’s concerned, I’m tending to agree with some of the other posters that she’s pulling a Tyler Durden with the van and bodies.
