I think Wally found his heart again in Endtown after having lost it by being alone on the surface for so many years. It seems the surface is more dangerous for Holly; since it’s filled with so much pain and sorrow. Holly probably now understands a lot about Wally now and why he was so afraid of being human again.

No, I believe he wishes he were a human again.

This is a bit perplexing. I understood that if you were fully conscious during the transformation you became a mindless monster. Hence Sparky’s tragedy. If, however you were asleep, you got the Disney treatment. And if you were, lets say self sedated you got something in between. But this appears to be twice that we have seen monsters that retain their minds and have desires other than eat sleep and kill.

Flask is about to have either a “Kick the Dog” (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/KickTheDog) or “Pet the Dog” (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PetTheDog) moment, methinks. She is being rather quiet and not having a fit. I’m hoping it’s the latter.

New Nuclear Family:Militant Cat Lady MomCyborg Mechanical DadTentacle Creature Child

I have a feeling that Tentacle Creature Child will have a key role in the successful completion of this quest.

Looks to me like Blackie has just had an attitude rearrangement. The little brush from a single tentacle at the end is a damn nice touch. Hard to hate a “monster” when it shows so clearly the human inside.

I think it will be a ‘Pet the Dog’ moment, however where Blackie is concerned that could mean anywhere from setting the kid up closer to the entrance to endtown and visiting fortnightly to a well placed disintegration ray the will put the kid out of her misery. That being said, the quiet forlorn stance that she is showing marks a possible realignment of thought and attitude. This may well prove to be quite a journey of enlightenment for Ms. Flask.

They should take it (her/him) back to Endtown. It would be excellent at stocking shelves.

An interesting setup we got going on in today’s strip. So many different directions it could go from there.

I wonder… What if Professor Mallard was to perform another Brain Transplant? .OK, Trask had performed Petey’s transplant under Professor Mallard’s supervision, but if it can save the poor child from having to be all alone, would it really be such a bad idea?

I think Blackie here notices that the tentacle is winding around her leg. If she does, then she won’t act in fury upon learning of its grabbing her leg. She she looks surprised as well…
