See Tarry, I told you Lizz’s orange coat would end up the infamous BROWN.I like the “real world” police work Tracy’s doing. Great writing Mike! Your thin blue line is showing.
Mr Schrecker might want to consider a lawyer for himself. Trying to get Tracy fired wasn’t an overly bright move, seems to me there might be some obstruction charges coming his way if he’s not careful.
Great idea. The old Harvey comics used to have dramatic titles, such as “The Case of the Interupted Honeymoon” and “The Strange Case of Shoulders”. I don’t know, you could call this “Ted Tellum’s Terror”, maybe.Since you are saving the strips, does that mean you are printing them out on paper? I’ve been printing each Sunday’s strip, but was very disappointed when they changed formats two weeks ago, to the landscape orientation – it makes the panels smaller, and they don’t fit as well on 8 1/2 × 11 – what if anything do you do about that? I’ve asked Go Comics about it, but, so far, no answer.
Given the number of pills and pill bottles on Tellum’s desk, he might be facing a felony. And I think it’s amazing that he didn’t overdose and kill himself.
I agree with Morrow. Tracy’s doing Tellum’s job here. Let Tellum make his bail call. That’s what the one-free-call tradition is about. If he doesn’t, then let him rot in jail until arraignment.
@scuttlebutt99What misconduct? It isn’t illegal entry if the door is open, anyone can come in (including cops and robbers). His pill bottles were in plain sight. He admitted to moving the corpses. And considering how terrified he’s been since the bodies appeared, he’d take off in a second – to avoid those “men with beards.”Tracy called Tellum’s boss as a courtesy – the boss went to Tracy about Tellum’s behavior, remember?

If both the County State’s Attorney and the US Attorney push for high bail, or even remand, given those circumstances, it’s not really all that unlikely that one or the other would get it.

He wasn’t in possession of illegal drugs, only empty bottles and his prescription. He might have been arrested for public intoxication, but even if his own office could be considered “public” that’s only a violation, not a crime. What the heck is this about a federal investigation?Moving the bodies is a serious matter, tampering with evidence, but he wasn’t arrested for that.A cop making his phone call for him could make sense, if Tracy is hoping to get some information out of Schrecker.-Cougar :{)

Very professional, Tracy, notifying Tellum’s boss (who is probably the closest thing to “family” Ted has).
Morning, all.

In a throwback to an earlier time, in panel 3 Tracy’s handset appears to be wireless.

Is it odd that Tracy is calling Schrecker about Tellum’s bail, or am I being too picky? That call should be made by Tellum.

I’ve been saving the Staton-Curtis strips from the start. So far I have titled each storyline like this:
“Thor’s Hammer”“The Flakey Biscuits Flour Hour”“The Scarlet Sting”The Return of B.B. Eyes"
but with the quick transition to the last 4 weeks, I cant titile what we are reading now. Any suggestions?
