D: Flask needs to get there, and fast! If she’s too late to get her game on and Holly gets brain drained, I will punch Flask through my monitor! (Somehow this seems better in theory than in practice, but I’ll find a way!)
At this moment, the team is exposed They’re in reach of sharp fingers and toes And if infighting starts (Helped by some martial arts) Suit integrity soon will be hosed You should never let foes within reach Of defenses you cannot let breach Before Holly’s de-braining I hope this bit of training Our Wally — or Holly — can teach Wally’s hand is just past the smart gun Linda’s hands are full; she’s “having fun” Since the Plague doesn’t kill Wall’s record’s safe, still They should rip those suits open And run! =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum
EEK!!!Aaron, I’m doubling my heart medicine!Great work, I’m sitting on the edge of my chair praying for it to be Monday. I love your comic, but the suspense is killing me !!! ;-D
If Holly runs, Wally dies. If Wally doesn’t take both of them out at the same time, Holly gets hurt and then Wally dies. If Flask shows up, with the Topsiders facing opposite directions, she’s going to be spotted and everyone dies. If Flask sneaks up behind Doug, Wally will notice and may give her away, if the PT doesn’t sound the alarm first. Finally, regardless of how the heroes get out of this, the blasters will radio back to HQ and a support party will be sent out, undermining Flask’s ultimate goal of reaching the rocket unseen.Monday seems so far away…
If there is anything I have learned from past experience with Wally; it’s that when he’s pushed too far things happen. I feel sorry for the Topsiders. They just made the biggest mistake of their pathetic lives. Nobody gets between a cat and his mouse.
I can’t tell whether the TS’s really believe they are stopping the mutants from “suffering” or not. If they really believed that they wouldn’t be so mocking and cruel. Aaron? 3SOJ? shed some light?
I just noticed… Wally’s not the only one with suit-puncturing capability. Is Holly merely screaming, or is she planning to put her rodent incisors to better use? (It kind of looks like it in frame 4.)
hey I don’t know if you realized it or not when our Trio first found Wally he was wearing what was left of a Topsider Biosphere Suite.Oh my bad I just looked but it is just a circular patch with nothing in it.
Generally the support suits require a lot of damage to open up. Such as being grazed by a blaster, or torn by Gustine. When Al did it, he accidentally got his hand wedged between the torso collar and the face mask. Biting might not be enough, and the Tosiders probably know that the suits need to be capable of withstanding hand-to-hand grappling.
This is just brilliant work here. The third panel just makes it all the more amazing. This is beyond great. This is a ride, and we are all in it, with Aaron at the control panel, doing a magnificent job. The suspense is killing me!
Looking at their facial expressions, you can see the love that they have for one another. I know that “parting is such sweet sorrow” is a bit cliche, but for this instance it captures the mood perfectly. Although the phrase itself is inadequate when faced with the fact that one of them could die…It sucks so much when you have to let someone go, even if only for a short while, but to know that they may never come back how they were… hell.
they are both holding Disintegration guns with Brains in them… a scary thought but we need Wally to survive to keep this Mutant love affair going;-) and Don’t count out Flask and Pete yet…maybe the are already at the rocket trying to destroy it…..
The TS’s bio-suits may be made out of tough material like woven kevlar or fine stainless steel mesh, which makes them very cut and abrasion resistant. So rodent teeth may not damage anything. But even kevlar has limited puncture resistance. So sharp cat claws may breach their protection.
There is an alternative, just not enough time for it to work. If Wally keeps his head, he could mention that they have rehabilitated some brains. The gun would certainly be listening, the vehicle could be, and the tables turned. But, as I mentioned, that would take time that they do not have. And listening is not for certain complying. They would then take the chance that the gun would not shoot. On the other claw, if the suits were so easily rippable, they would not survive their first encounter. As these two have done this before, they should be familiar with natural defenses and attacks. It could be that they have had an armor upgrade to their suits. They need it. On reabilitation, if they have the dna, and with the brain they do, could they grow a vat/clone body for the brain? or is that beyond EndTown tech?
I am hoping for a distracting shot from the Kitty. If it hits anything useful, so much the better. And we did not know that the guns were controlled by brains before. Kinda small and light to be so. Which means that our side has many brains to rehabilitate, at the cost of disarming.
Three Steps Over Japan (is your icon Hetalia cosplay?) Very good analysis. But if you get the gun and PT on your side you win. But that takes too much time. So I am eagerly awaiting Monday with you and all.

If Holly can slip out of the TS’s grasp, they shouldn’t be able to catch her because she always boasts "there ain’t nobody who has done that yet”.

THIS was Flask’s plan? Send Wally out to confront them directly and hope it works out? Say it with me, folks: “That’s a STUPID plan!”

Flask, Petey, rip their suits open like Al & Gustine did in the 2009 storyline!

“What do you think our mouse friend will be, Doug?”
“A brand new CAR!!!”
noreenklose about 13 years ago
That’s a great idea! That would totally distract the top sider holding Holly, and Wally could attack the one holding him.
