Well to be fair, you can hardly blame me for my opinion when the GoComics colorist does such things as dress Jim Trailer as if he were the Joker or hide police cars by painting them the same brown as the background. I might feel differently if it were Shane doing the colors on the dailies…at the very least my opinion might be more “Eh, whatever…” But this GoComics colorist…oy

BUT…Look at the floor – pale yellow, but white spaces in each panel, and part of Lizz’s jacket is blue in the second panel.If we’re going to be stuck with GoComics colorist, could Shane give them a color guide?The strip often looks like subliminal advertising for UPS (“What can brown do for you?”)

A 3-year-old with a box of crayons could do better coloring.

RockHouse, ammonium nitrate is 100% harmless unless (a) you eat it, or (b) you mix it with diesel – or any other type of oil – and detonate it with some sort of percussion blast. Then, you have the basics for a fuel/air bomb.

Seattle Post Intelligencer uses a different colorist. On their’s, Mina’s stockings are tan and her shoes are light gray.

Yeah, getting really tired of the brown and just the bad coloring in general on the dailies. And sloppy, too. Catch the brown leaf apparently attached to Mina’s shoe and the blue one on her butt? Good coloring or none at all!!

Aren’t comic strips a week or so behind? Maybe this is what caused the last earthquake.

Great art and great story, Joe and Mike. Glad to see Dick Tracy has a new, higher profile and slightly larger size in the Chicago Tribune, where I first view it in glorious black and white each morning. So most complaints are with the GoComics colorist. If anyone is tabulating votes, I vote for b&w dailies. If color is necessary, can we also view a b&w option? I suppose that might be too much to hope for in a free site. Sure enjoy the comments here, though.

Nurses can wear pretty much anything they want; and Mina isn’t a real nurse. Of course, Gloria might want her to look more like the old steriotypical nurse in order to pull off the deception, e.g the little cap which nurses seldom wear today.
