Good show, Lio! And if I’m not mistaken, the Time Machine is (or is at least inspired by) the one from the eponymous 1960 film!

I prefer my time machine DeLorean shaped.

The “blue box” model comes with a swimming pool and karaoke bar. ;-)

The T.A.R.D.I.S. may not take you where you want to go, but it will take you where you need to go.

But a sad commentary on the ability of cartoonists to make a living today.

People keep telling me I should have been born thirty or more years ago. Sigh.

I want to build a time machine!

Tatulli makes an excellent point here. Just think back…Calvin and Hobbes, Bloom County, Far Side, Tumbleweeds. Of course, if you define success by money earned instead of humor, nothing can touch Peanuts or Garfield.

20 or 30? Surely the author meant to write 50 or 60.

Hey! How come copy of “The Time Machine” doesn’t have any blueprints in it?

Alley Oop has been using one for about a year now.

In 20 0r 30 years time the book will refer to the current present.

Comic strip artists, writers, or whatever you call them should form a union and immediately go on strike and not come back to work until they are at least making minimum wage.

So funny and so sad at the same time! HA HA – sigh

I know many of you have not seen the 60’s version of H.G. Wells: “The Time Machine” but I heartily recommend it for its great time-lapse photography special effects and Rod Taylor and Yvet Mimeux were well casted in their roles.

I don’t get it. How does going back in time make a successful comic strip?

Reminds me of a comic-book gag where someone was selling a book called How to Make Millions of Dollars; every page just said, “Get a job at the mint.”

The book, “How to Live Safely in a Science Fictional Universe” (2010) by Charles Wu is a wonderful recent take on time travel. Highly recommended.

I get tired of the woe is me comics from Tatulli. Get over it.

I’m surprised Lio doesn’t have a big Blue Police Box sitting in his backyard.

It seems to have worked; when did Lio begin?The successful part is trickier; by what criteria?

A bit of BTTF trivia; the DeLorean’s Time Circuits display was Red, Yellow and Green and was homage to George Pal’s machine, which had the same colors in its display. Also, who had the pine tree farm? Peabody, What was his son’s name? Sherman.
