Apparently she’s never read “The Road not Taken” by Robert Frost. I never have in it;s entirety, but I still got the costume!

Apparently, this really happened: A traffic cop pulled over a teacher and asked “What’s your hurry?”. She replied “I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.”. He said “Yes, but Robert Frost took the road less traveled and you didn’t.”.

I think the point is, the janitor gets it, and the teacher doesn’t.“Two people diverged in a yellow school….”

As Yogi Berra said (channeling R. Frost, no doubt) “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.”

Paul Reed: I did once. When I got home, my wife asked me where I got the fork. I said I saw it in the road and took it.

OK, so now that it’s obvious, would someone please explain the apparently red-herring clue in Caulfield’s “I certainly am” and “Certainly not” replies three days ago?

Not a teacher, but a school nurse, by all appearances.

aviatress: the only thing I could find is a quote by Irishman, poet Paul Maldoon, " I certainly am interested in accessibility, clarity and immediacy. No one will ever look at birches after the Robert Frost poem in exactly the same way." May be?

Which is another reason the new movie “Anonymous” is so foolish…it is said Shakespeare "only’ had a secondary school education, but education back then was full of the classics as well as Greek and Latin literature. Not quite the same as today. Of course, Roland Emmerich, judging by 2012, didn’t have any education.
