This is a heart-warming moment. There is another strip where Calvin struggles up the hill in the snow after school and Mum has hot chocolate and marshmallows waiting for him. It is a beautiful mother and son moment.

@JohnnyDiego – Girls have cooties, but thre is an escape clause. Sisters and other female relatives such as moms also have cooties but you have a natural immunity to them.

Nothing like spreading the love around…..

That was ALMOST sweet and touching… good thing Calvin came through. ;-)

It’s hard to blame Calvin (in the 4th panel) on this one. I pick up cold bugs pretty easily and don’t like being around contagious people either because when I get sick, it isn’t for just a day or two — or even a week or two. It could be as long as a month . . . maybe even longer . . . and I just don’t have the time for that. So I’d rather all the “sickies” keep their distance from me too!

See? Calvin really does have a heart—even if he hides it deeply most of the time.
