verne: RJ, this is a bad idea. RJ: What? We outnumber them. Verne: We can't win, RJ. RJ: not if we don't try. RJ: occupy suburbia begins! hammy: ooh! can I occupy the kool whip? verne: This is all going to end badly.
You’re correct — it’s about outrageous inequities and abuses in our economy. Unfortunately, wanting something, no matter how sincerely and justifiably, is not the same thing as having a realistic clue about what to do about it..I have to say that the OWS folks are like the classic definition of a mob: a creature with a thousand bellies and no brain…and I sympathize with them; pschearer is not so constrained.
It is only the historical success of a free economy that created the idea of a living wage in the first place, as opposed to needing to have every member of a large family toil dawn to dusk simply to avoid starvation. As growing government interference in a free and therefore productive economy increasingly rolls back the standard of living for everyone, we could end up returning to those days.

The problem is the “company store” has too many by the nuts, and isn’t about to let go.

Anyone else but me noticing in the comments that OWS or OS isn’t breaking left/right per usual? Interesting change in the dynamic. -mf
