Thousands of years of different ways to measure and weigh things throughout the world down to millionths of whatever measure, yet a cubit is still a cubit; from the point of the elbow to the tip of the extended central digit. My salute and salutations!

Example as to how easy and useful it is:“We’re not privatizing your Social Security your recent forefathers, in their wisdom, bequeathed to you…but because you can handle your money better than the government, take this 401k…”

Now known as the 101k. They are SNAKES: they can’t NOT bite you. It’s what they do…and that’s all they do…if allowed to live, the financial class will figure out a way to steal everything you could ever have. That’s how they make their living, it’s a highly developed human subclass, completely parasitic and quite successful at it…perhaps by now a genetic development, in spite of what modern biology tells us, perhaps characteristics ARE acquired.

Of course there’s the obvious paranoid counter-argument which says, yes, there are many families whose primary service to humanity is living off its betters’ efforts. That’s the claim of what we used to call Labor, and it’s also the secretly expressed view of the financial class I inveigh against….looks like the gloves are coming off in society again.

And looks like we can expect greater political conflict as the haves continue to enter every arena to expand and consolidate their power. It was only by mastering politics that slavery was ended, that Martin Luther King’s vision was set rolling, and that so many Americans live on Social Security, safe from winter’s winds and having shelter and enough food for a Thanksgiving dinner.

We’ll be having more political debate, and maybe…more intelligent political debate. What do you think is a good way to live?

A good way to live? Free. Free from the tyrany of those sucking off the govt tit and free of the govt masters taking from me at the point of a gun to give to the leaches that which the user and leaches cannot take from me, my life, liberty and property.

Let each man care for his own family, wife, children, parents, and grandparents. Confine the govt to the absolute smallest intrusion into his life as possible, an only that expressly allowed in the constitution.

If God only ASKS for a tenth, why must the govt TAKE 5/10?

I started using metric conversion for my age. 2:1 works great for me, and brings me closer to the age I “feel”, versus my actual age! Enjoy the weight change FB, there will still be lots of you to love! ;-)

The reason that didn’t work is the number in kph is larger than the number in mph, for the same speed.

Canada’s rush to metrics almost resulted in a major air crash. Research the Gimli Glider, ie out or fuel at 40,000 feet due to a faulty gallon/liter conversion.

What place on Earth measures distances between locales in kilometers, posts speed limits in MPH, sells its fuel by the liter and its real estate by the square meter?

    The answer is Puerto Rico.

Talking scale? Would it say ‘no weight’ing while weighing’?.I have one foot firmly planted in metric and imperial. Baking measurements are in both. shoes in both. I translate metric to pounds when grocery shopping. I do 10 K runs (well, walk the run) but measure distance in town by time not length (which as a Cdn, most of us who walk – measure by how long it takes to get there). And my weight and height by imperial and the temperature by Celius. .Viva la difference!
