    These are tame compared to Grimm’s tales, and even those are tame compared to some of the Czech ones. There’s a reason kids love gore. betrayal, and all kinds of malice in stories – it allows them to confront fears in a safe setting. Many of us raised on happy bunnoes were in for some nasty surprises in adulthood.

    She is another adult that confuses animated shows/films with cartoons. Just because something is animated doesn’t make it a cartoon.

    What ever became of Popeye and the Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, and all the Warner Brothers cartoons. You have to remember, these were all violent,too.
