Actually, Elizabeth, you’ll always be a little girl to your parents. My 6 year old tells me, while holding my face in her little hands, “I have to grow big, Mommy, but I’ll always be your little girl.” Sniff…
Lizzie is SO adorable, and you’re all so right about time going by faster as we get older. My 93 year old Mother still call me her little girl (now 61). I feel the same about my grown kids too. They will always be my babies I guess.
I remember being Lizzie’s age and how it took absolutely forever for Christmas to get here! But the older I get, the more I understand why my parents always seemed to dread it so much. It’s fun for the kids but it can be a real hassle for all the “growed ups”!
Blame it on Einstein and his kooky relativity theory. Anticipation of an event dilates the time/space continuum so that the more you want something to occur the longer it takes, and the more you wish to extend the time differential the sooner the event arrives. Simple physics. Hey, beertender… one more when you get a chance? …

This is one of the few comics that I would call warm hearted and sincere with sometimes very touching and emotional.

I still love the way Elizabeth clutches her long-eared bunny doll.

I’m not growed up yet Lizzie, so no worries. Seriously, would a grown man have Snoopy hugging Woodstock decked out for Christmas be a growed up?
