Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
You know, when I saw Flaskâs face on the first panel, she looks almost gentle and for that brief second (before I even read what she said) I almost thought she was going to have second thoughts. âŠand then I read her words, saw the rest of the strip and wow Flask is so crazed. Maybe going on this mission and finally exacting her revenge has unscrewed the only screw she had left.
And yet i feel nothing for Linda. Probably because She and the other topsider acted like removing brains from people was a sadistic game and hurting your target more was just bonus ponits. Just more evidence that Flask was a topsider, brain washed into this âtorture your enemyâ mind set.
Say goodbye to Petey. I think heâs going to throw himself in front of Linda when Flask pulls the trigger. Then Flask is going to be really angry at Linda.
Wally will not stand idly by and watch this happen again. He knows too well what Flask is capable of, though I must admit all that âoathâ stuff before seems odd if she actually intends to do this. I think the âamature hourâ is about to beginâŠ
Now thinking back, did Holly physically put the chip in. We saw her making the motion but never confirmed. And Holly, knowing what Flask is capable ofâŠmight have figured this out. Not to mention something as big as this launch yaâd think we would have seen alot more topsiders, especially when Flask Took out command and control..SOOOO many directions this can go.
Save the Life of My Child (to this tune) âDear Flask! For everyone crying for Linda and her son, please go back to the end of October and first of November to see what Linda is really like. This world is a kill or be killed place.
The zero guns donât have a stun setting, itâs the wind-up guns from Mallard who do. The situation still doesnât have a lot of moral high ground on either side. Iâm still not sure what is the end of Flaskâs point.. nor do we have any actual real insight on her past yet. The âwhyâ of it all is apparent on the surface, but has hidden depths. Still no answers yet. Well done Aaron. Great start to the year! :)
I donât really know what to expect from Flask. Sheâs one of those characters thatâs difficult to peg-the minute you think you have her figured out, she throws a curve ball.
Peteyâs expression at Flaskâs revelations has gone from helpless revulsion to absolute terror. Itâs almost as though heâs seeing her thirst for blood for the first time (or itâs piquing surpressed memories). Whatever his previous relationship with Blackie, I donât see it surviving this missionâŠ.
As for saving Lindaâs son, I donât see how it can be done, even without the four-minute-until-launch time frame. How indeed would topsiders react to a bunch of anthros showing up and saying âWeâre here to rescue that kidâ? Or maybe just Linda herself showing up and saying âThatâs my son, Iâll have him now pleaseâ, if sheâd even get the words out before topsiders de-brained her. And even if a rescue were successful what then? A topsider child who would either have to purposely be exposed to the virus while unconscious (which according to Linda herself would be even worse than death), or protected from it indefinitely (probably not doable), or⊠um⊠I donât really see any more options.
You cannot win a war by trying to be more moral than your enemy. Unless youâre prepared to stoop as low as them (or lower still) you will be beaten. This is why the so-called war on terror will never be won. The bad guys can quite literally get away with murder, usually of innocent people, because they know we will not retaliate in kind. They know they only need to hide behind human shields and they will not be attacked. They also gain help through locals that might otherwise help us, by threatening said locals with death unless they cooperate (by feeding them, hiding them, etc). And by then following through with those threats to show others that they are not mere threatsâŠ
However crazy Blackie may be, her methods are the only ones that have a snowballâs chance in hell at victory. Any living topsider is an enemy, and any young topsider is an enemy in waiting. There is no rehabilitation for these topsiders. There is no negotiating or pleading with them. Kill them, or they WILL kill you.
Come on you guys, wake up. Do something. Just because she is self appointed âbossâ does not make her RIGHT. Step in, do anything except sit there and watch. #^%&^W itâŠ
How about this: Wally left the hatch open on the rocket. Wally stuns Flask, Linda gets on the Air Scout, they zip her back to the rocket, she pulls the chip, rocket launches, goes out of control with no guidance, Linda and rocket go BOOM. Satellite is gone, Linda is gone, kid is safe. Wally and Holly drag a hogtied Flask back to Endtown where Petey relates the whole episode to Mallard. Flask gets a rubber room and extensive shock therapy while Wally is made the new head of Endtown security. :) Speculation is a blast, but Iâll bet any money Aaronâs version is better!

Why doesnât anyone think Flask is just going to stun Linda, not kill her?
OdderOtter about 13 years ago
..And Wally is doing .. what? I suspect that Flask has just bought herself a calm down shot.
