It’s raining cats and dittos!

At least dittos that used to look like cats…

I must say, I’m really enjoying the TopSider’s inability to cope with their current situation. >giggle<

Well, I did get that one right. But as the saying goes, “Even a blind pig finds an acorn once in a while.” :-)

As I ‘ve said in a previous posting: It’s time to party! Everyone is invited!

Yeah! I see the Topsiders are starting to discharge their weapons left, right and centre. Not clever tactics in a crowd.Also, they only need the first one to rip a suit…It looks like the transport WAS a ditto construct, after all, although I could still be wrong.

Looks like they brought in a gusher!

This is so entertaining to look at, I can hardly stand it.

Just a thought here. If the dittos are somewhat immune to their guns, as we’ve seen dittos coming out of the fake petey that was hit. And they either have some sort of mouth with that many teeth or even some sort of acid that would compromise the TSers’ suits then they truly are the worst nightmare to the TSers. After all they fear being mutated more than death.

With the ditto-Petey flying, does this mean other dittos taking form of something flying would also fly. Like a certain rocket we’ve seen blast off?

As for where the real heroes are, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Just have to wonder, just how long have they been switched with the ditto-heroes…

Great, so… where are our ACTUAL heroes?

I think it was yesterday someone said that this might be the first time that Topsiders had seen Didos. They had seen ’em all right, just nobody was able to report it..\\//_

Another possibility – The PT was not a construct. It and all the inhabitants were real. What we have been seeing the last several days is not the PT, nor our heroes, but an illusion created by the Dittos on the visors of the Topsiders. The real PT and our heroes are watching the entire scene from safety several yards away. Petey is still in the air, also observing as the scene unfolds.

Aaron – Are the dittos as much fun to draw as they are to look at?

And now thanks to dkram I see the topsiders surrounded by an army of.. Fido Didos (from the old 7-up ads). I think the TSers would react exactly the same way, too.

In the third panel there are three, maybe four, objects flying or falling through the sky. I don’t think that I’ve seen dittos do that.

I hate to rain on everyone’s parade, but it just occurred to me … it is very possible that the dittos also attacked Flask and the others just as they are now attacking the Topsiders. Perhaps Wally, Holly & Linda left the PT to escape the ditto’s. Perhaps the ditto’s were oozing out of the ground where Petey fell and weren’t oozing out of Petey.

Right now every day seems like Friday!

I think it’s all in the topsider’s minds and our heros aren’t affected.

The dittos don’t need to be physical to destroy the topsiders. Those that don’t blast each other or tear their uniforms will wander off, get lost, and succumb to the subterranean monsters and the usual desert threats. Everybody can come to this party.

I would expect that parking lot full of PTs to go bonkers any minute now…. everybody say it with me, 3…2…1: “VERMIN!!!”

While I really enjoy seeing the TSers getting what’s coming to them, I REALLY want to know (and be sure) that Wally, Holly, Linda, Flask, and Petey are okay. I think it’s probably too big a coincidence that the dittos were in just the right place at just the right time to save our friends (either by chance or design). Something else is going on here.

The Shite hath Strucketh the Fan!!!!

This is one of those sets of panels I would love to see in wide-screen format. Of course, I’ve thought that many of the scenes in Endtown. The strip is a natural fit for the format, visually and narratively.

It’s Day Three of DITTO WEEK!Today, we witness the Topsiders in a rather entertaining, yet incredibly futile attempt at self-preservation. I can’t help but wonder how many of them would like to be with their children right now…

Unless someone already mentioned it it looks likely that what Flask and Wally were reacting to a few strips back was perhaps dittos about to invelope them and their transport thus camoflaging them? Hmmm.

So sorry to see the Topsiders having a little trouble now. >.> Of course I have a lot of questions, but I will await the answers while I do my little happy dance that things didn’t end as horrifically tragic as we thought last week. Admittedly, the day Holly and Wally were ‘shot’, I had opened the new comic page while I was on the phone because I was too impatient to wait (and I figured it’d be action shots of them running and dodging fire). When I saw Wally and Holly vaporized, I just about dropped the phone. D:

In my head I’m hearing the cry of “Tekeli-li” when I see the Dittos like this.

So who is real and who is the hidden critters? If Petey wasn’t real why did he get so mad at what they did? Is Flask real? I hope this means that our heros were mirages too? It sure seemed real. I am so confused! But glad that Everyone sees this great news!

I still think Sparkplug is making a comeback. I have the feeling he is now controlling the dittos, possibly by befriending them (or at the very least making his peace)

I believe Dittos have one power – And that is to decieve -else sparkplug would have been long gone. But they do know how to torment. After this is all over and one last topsider is left, can you imagine the horror – to think that you’ve escaped made it safely to your home, finally able to remove your suit and have a nice shower – only to discover your still outside – and now exposed to be come a nice little monster.

Today’s polysyllabic word to describe the Topsiders’ situation is: pandemonium. This party is just getting started and the game is pin the dittos on the Topsiders. The lone surviving Topsider is goint to have dittos on the brain and the nightmares to prove it.

Not if the whole thing has been dittos from start to finish…

I mentioned this before The reason Petey and Wally/Holly/Linda were defeated at roughly the same time was to set up the trap. The Topsiders all approached the bodies/lumps of ash in order to inspect them at the same time the other TSers encircled the PT to get to Flask. This means that the TSers are ALL up close and personal with the dittos when they spring up, and within hitting range of each other when they shoot in panic. We don’t see the Holly/Wally/Linda ash pile turn to anything because that just flows into the “tar” with the rest of the dittos.

I just hope we aren’t taking overt glee in Ditto mayhem, as we took undue sorrow in Holly and Wally’s (et al) perceived demise, only to be jerked into another stressful, engaging storyline.Oh wait, that’s what Aaron does…Still, can’t help but enjoy Ditto wrath invoked upon TS’ers

My question/point (and I’m sure I’m not the first one to pose them) is how long have we been observing our heros as dittos and the dittos usually “perform” or “target” someone, so who is that? The Tsers? or Flask? or ???I guess we wait and see! :)

one of the only problems with dittos, though, is that you don’t know when they’re really gone.

Well, the Dittos have certainly opened up the possibilities for new stories in this world, for ever after. Neathery IS going to have fun!

We still don’t know where our friends are for sure. All we know is that they are apparently not here.

I’ve got a hunch that Topsider com-chatter is a constant stream of profanity right about now.

Counting down to the next little bite of information….

Many good points brought up – one reason to pose questions like mine before.

The truth of the matter is we only know a little about dittos and TSers.

Since dittos were described as living pixel then we need to consider that they do something to consume energy. Not sure what that might be, maybe like a plant they absorb light. Maybe they are carnivorous and these TSers are their next meal. Either way They have a purpose for this very well timed and targeted trap.

I think it was best said, we don’t have a full view so it’s hard to place where and when the ditto trap was switched in. I doubt that they did any sort of overlay onto the actual heroes who are somewhere in a transporter. The Dittos did have some way of knowing what the real heroes were doing. I don’t think the video call would have shown Flask standing by the window looking up – so the dittos couldn’t pick that up from the TSers. We saw Wally walk up and talk to Flask as she stood there, so we can have some certainty that actually happened.

It’s likely that there are two events that are playing out simultaneously – both that the dittos are in some way able to see or connected with.

Just remember, soon we’ll have cliffhanger Friday, can’t wait to see what Aaron hits us with to wait the weekend trying to guess and reason what is going to happen next.

While I was hoping something like the dittos would occur, I didn’t see it coming. As in, no foreshadowing. Am I wrong? Did I miss something?
