Invest overseas, that’s not allowed!

Betcha Calvin could build an army of snowmen if he wanted… Snow Goons!

If Calvin’s ideology goes epidemic, I’m with you Hobbes.

Don’t worry Calvin, lowering your expectations is the least you can do.

You too can be President with a C average!

The irony here is that Calvin makes the world’s greatest snowmen. In fact, if I had to name only one thing that Calvin is good at, it’s making snowmen. And investing overseas wasn’t good advice, either, unless Hobbes meant China. Good advice would have been to invest in the U.S. stocks for 10 years, then invest in U.S. bonds for 10 years.

That doesn’t meet with your usual standards, Calvin.

Luckily for Calvin this is a passing fad, he normally puts the whole of himself into a thing. The same cannot be said for the majority.

Calvin’s prjections ARE today’s reality. Parents celebrate their kids mediocrity.

Mediocrity is the new goal; Just look at all these (loser) shows, such as the “Talk” shows (FIght shows for cheap entertainment), and reality shows. Really??? Do people expect to find true love as they compete to win the love of a stranger? That is not merely mediocre, it is insane.

Mediocre is sort of like tapioca; “the proof of the pudding is in the eating.”

Calvin’s snowman is more nondescript than it is mediocre!

Calvin, put half a face on it and it will be goon enough. I’m ok with mediocrity………I think.

Sometimes the comments become more entertaining than the actual comic strip. lol

And doing it that way made it a lot easier than dealing with a bunch of ones and pennies in the change.

I saw a prime example of that at Ft. Monmouth in 1962. In our radio class we had a degreed electronic engineer (would have been an officer, but the college he went to didn"t have ROTC) He naturally topped the class and was willing to help out the others.The person that BOTTOMED the class made E-4 fourteen months before he did due to different assignments.(Both enlisted same day!)Right place, right time.(It isn’t always glass ceilings)

Oh, sure . . . why not? Your snowman doesn’t have a head, eyes, nose, mouth or arms but let’s just go ahead and call it “good enough” the way that it is! Mediocrity at its finest, that’s for sure!!! So long as you’ve done the absolute very least you can do, why should anyone “damage” your self-esteem by expecting you to do more???!!!

You’re not the only one having a Deja Vu moment all over again! My comments from yesterday can also be applied to today’s comic, as well!

It seems that nearly everyone has agreed that the dumbing down of our youth is a terrible thing. Now, what can we do about it?

@Mitchtheone Re: My comment yesterday. You need to read more carefully. I do know the meaning of the word “faux”. I said it was PRONOUNCED as “FOE” (& not “FOX”) as some people apparently seem to think. They are trying to be clever by thinking that saying Faux News sounds the same as Fox News.

Investing anywhere assumes that there was some source of money that provided the wherewithal to invest in the first place…..mediocre Snow Goons – so much for artistic superiority….

better still hand the exact price of an item plus tax to teh cashier before they key/scan the item – stares you get are truly depressing like simple math is akin to nuclear physics

in this age of “self-esteem”, we have celebrated mediocrity to an art form…reminds me of the Saturday Night Live sketch, “You Can Do Anything”.
