I remember the days when we all recycled. Remember the milk man who took back the used bottles, the soda bottles that were taken back to the store, the paper bags that we used again and again, water from the sink or a fountain (not a plastic bottle), diapers that were washed not thrown away ect… Too bad us older folks destroyed the environment huh.
Reminds me of the eternal question: Just how DO you throw out an old trash can??
Years ago I had a problem with our garbagemen leaving a bag behind (and a dog — not MY dog, mind you! — tore it open and scattered garbage all over the lawn!) So I left them a note:
Dear Garbagemen, please take ALL the garbage this weekThank you.
