that’s how art linkletter got kids to spill – he asked them what their parents had told them not to mention on his show.

Reminds me of something Bill Cosby once said. His wife let him go anywhere as long as he took his young daughter. He nicknamed her the informer.

thing is, by the time they got home Lizzy probably had forgotten all about it, especially if Ellie had been singing “Barney” songs with her……..I speak from experience. Then Ellie had to go remind her and of course that was the first thing out of her mouth………lol

I have found out that the fastest way to spread any news is to tell the person NOT to say anything to anybody. It will be all around town by the end if the day.

When I was small, we had a rather uneventful flat – easily changed, repaired, and on our way. As soon as we got home, my sister announced, “We had a flat wreck!”

Anyone else remember the Art Linkletter program where he interviewed school kids? He would ask them “And what did your mommy tell you not to say today?”

Great point!!! Especially with young children, you need to be a role model. How can she teach her honesty if she can’t model it herself? Now if Lizzie breaks something and hides it, Elly has no credibiltiy because hse essentially did the same thing!!!

I wouldn’t really call it a lie. Now if Elly told her to say somebody else hit us……………

Here’s a truthful quote from an annonymous writer.

“Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn’t have said.”
