Why are Petey’s parents malicious to him?

Petey’s family has made the only adaptation possible, given that Petey dislikes almost any option presented to him. They give him his say, and then decide based on what the rest of the family wants.

I loved those little swords! Those were the best things (when you are a kid). I still like them, even though I haven’t been a kid in many decades.

“P.J. Piehole’s” is the best name for a restaurant EVER.

And Petey wishes Alice will shut her piehole.

I understand Petey’s concern. I always worry about rowboats falling on me from above. But this is family democracy at work, and Mr. Otterloop, Madeline, and Alice have out-voted Petey. Besides, P.J. Piehole’s sounds like a fun place!

The coupons tell us where to eat more than the kids.

Sit under the boat! Sit under the boat! If it falls, Petey can make a diorama about it.

At least it wasn’t the giant marlin hanging on the other side of the restaruant.

Does anyone really want to eat in a restaurant named “Piehole”?

Have to watch the grandkids when they start wielding the little sandwich swords used by Highland House in Sheboygan . . .

I’m with Petey. It sounds like a horrible place.

Hey, Petey! Man, you gotta love a restaurant that has a cornet, bowling pen, paint brush and a 45 rpm record on the wall. Just think of all the things you can stare at while you’re waiting for your food…and all the inspiration for that ‘found art’ diorama!!

Is this comic being updated at all, because this strip and those leading up to it about the snow, all ran in Feb 2009.

I’m with Petey on this one. Who can eat with the Dinghy of Damocles hanging over your head?

Fellow Baby LOL! So would I! But I would have to wonder why I would wander in there to begin with! Unless someone else was buying, but even then??

Unknowingly.
