How much ya wanta bet he’ll be the first one to sleep?

Its gonna be a long night. Maybe they’ll sleep in ? Nah.

Yeah, but that’s some cool story telling.

Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tripped over my slippers and fell with a crash…

I like that last rendition of the story.

Phil sounds like our children’s absolute favorite babysitter. They never complained about our going out when Jeff came to sit!

so, @napllp, how does the rest of the poem go? it’s got a terrific start!

I learned a lot of lines to that poem in Junior High. That’s the last we’ll hear of that subject.

Now we know where Michael got some/all of his imagination for writting.

This is what the kids will remember, not that they got to bed late.

So much for helping them “wind-down” with a story… I like Phil, my kids say I don’t read it right either

I think Phil gets used to be with his nephew and niece. Hopefully someday, he will get married and have a family. Do you guys think Phill will be a married man and have a family or never and stay single for the rest of his life???

Or Auntie! I have always taken great delight in being the naughty Auntie… :-) Every kid should have a person who likes to bend those rules a bit and show them that life is meant to be fun - especially at Xmas! As long as no one gets hurt a little bit of irreverence will be remembered longer than a toy that breaks on Xmas morning.

(my 21 year old nephew still remembers all my ‘fart’ jokes)

My dad does that ALL THE TIME!!!! It makes my sister masd, so she starts screaming and hits him… hard. The little brat…..
