Bless her heart….and ours too…sure gonna miss these guys…Corey, please allow someone to take over this strip….its so dear to our hearts and we are gonna miss it something fierce!!!
I’m so sorry this strip is ending, it’s been so much fun to read! Reminds me of my days working in retirement homes, such a bunch of characters! Hope you change your mind after a hiatus.
Nobody seems to address the issue of who owns the strip. Sometimes it’s the cartoonist, often it’s the syndicate, in some cases it’s the cartoonist’s heirs, which may apply here. Then there’s the question of how financially successful the strip has been (or not) in determining whether a strip continues.
And as I’ve often commented on GoComics, there is too often little relationship between the quality of a strip and it’s success. Elderberries follows the trail of Bo Nanas, Citizen Dog, Big Top, etc.

oo, new strip idea….how about the adventures of Miss Overdunne trying to wrestle with culture shock of living in Tuscany

What state in the USA has a city named “Tuscany”?

If Miss Overdunne keeps that up, Burt isn’t going to take her anywhere.

It’s in Arizona, but it’s spelled Tucson.

Why is the strip ending? Is this actually the last week? If so, phooey, I enjoyed this strip.
