My wife worked a summer once as a cook’s helper in a hunting camp in the NorthWest Territories. She also helped with the laundry, and one of the guides had put in a pair of underwear that read “Have you seen my monster?” Before sending them back, she pinned a note to them “Why, have you lost him?”
The kid in the strip reminds me more of Hammie MacPhereson… Oh! Brilliant idea! Running story line interstrip gag- Cousin Bubbles has a playdate with the MacPherson kids (aka Baby Blues kids).

Don’t know whether to laugh at Lio’s comic or the “Lio” comic.

Dad, he must of been going real fast when he stopped in my room, because he left skid marks.

It would be funny if that hadn’t happened for real a few weeks earlier.

Lio is a budding cartoonist! Look out, Tatulli; you could become expendable!

You should give him a name, like Homer, or Mr. Happy. Or The Crippler.

Word balloons in a ‘Lio’ strip? The Aztecs were right – it is the end of the world!

Lio, that punch line was lame. You’re much more creative than that …

Lio’s drawing of Dad is very flattering! Not so much of himself.

I remember that famous punchline in the Marx Brithers’ movieAnimal Crackers (1931):
Groucho: “One morning I shot an elephant in pajamas. How it got in my pajamas I’ll never know!”

Well, at least Lio was thoughtful enough to brief Dad on the situation at hand …
