Can we cut it with all the political BLEEP guys? It doesn’t matter if you’re left or right, if you have to politicize everything you’re always wrong. Granted, it doesn’t help that every other strip this month seems to be an attempt to make BC into Doonsbury Light.Today’s strip is weird, even for BC.
I miss the OLD BC. These new strips are like the Flintstones – the only thing prehistoric about them are that is made of rock. Ants with TVs? Talk about Christianity? (B.C., get it), Zombies!! Really? Mastroianni and Hart: go spend a few hours reading the original strips and get back to the basics. Make funnies about the human condition, challenge evolution to make a religious point if you want (that’s funny and period appropriate for a “B.C.” comic). Go back to Clams for money. Clams have feet! Like the customers in today’s strip, this comic has lost its soul!
I’ve got “World War Z” and the “Zombie Survival Handbook”; neither mention that the problem has been going on quite that long, though…
I have to admit I liked the classic BC, in some ways, better. How long has it been since we saw whats-his-name studying fish by simply dunking his head in the water?
