Our church in Peekskill, NY. It rained, then snowed, then turned into freezing rain and ice. Shortened the reception, but our marriage is in its 21st year.
29 years.Married in a small chapel attached to a big cathedral with just family and a couple friends in attendance. Simple white cotton dress with flowers in hair.It was lovely. Hubby and I are still best friends and sweeties.
17 years this Thursday. Married at Smith’s Tropical Paradise on the beautiful island of Kauai. I can still feel the trade winds in my hair. After the ceremony, the minister got on his bicycle and rode home. :-)
There’s a winery region in the south west of Australia called Margaret River (also famous for surfing); we got married in the beautiful gardens of one of those wineries, then put all our guests on a bus and toured all around the region for the afternoon to have our photos taken. Reception was at a restaurant in Bussselton and we stayed in the area (Yallingup) for our honeymoon. Love it down here!
@Tony, I was married in the Cathedral of Chicago by a Spanish speaking priest and I divorced him after 16 years- I still love the lover I found after the divorce but will never remarry (we are both over 70).
