Definitely a spitball.
You definitely don’t want to get hit by one of those pitches.
Looks like a spit ball.
the catcher later regrets loaning him some chaw
Man, I love that last frame. That’s the kind of face you have to have to look good in one of THOSE caps.
His “stuff” is really nasty!
Did Grog get traded?
Is there anyone from the Red Sox you want? We need a pitcher badly!
I have heard of pitching underhand, overhand, or sidearm. First time I have seen pitching that is no-hand, no-arm.
God help the opposition if they ever sign a mastodon.
i think that throwing a spit balls would be a problem, but obviously this is prior to the 1920 ban….
ANTEATER for Red Sox closer! (And does he have any cousins for the late-inning reliever job?)
He’ll eat his opponents up!
Good luck finding a catcher now.
Charlie Brown should hire him as one of his outfielders.
;)
The anteater is the mascot of the University of California, Irvine.
Wonderful comic today. The anteater’s expression in last panel is priceless.
our baseball team should get an anteater
Strike! low, outside. Strike! low, inside. Strike!. ohh BALLS!!! can anyone help walk this guy to 1st?
The Heimlich maneuver spit ball. I doubt he wants to repeat that though.
I’m fairly certain that an anteater cannon is not permitted under the rules of baseball. But beyond that, I don’t know of any catchers that would even try to catch an anteater cannon on so many levels of “yuckiness”.
Nothing but snot balls ?
