When I was in junior high I would sometimes forget to bring a pen. You could buy one for 25 cents, but a friend would “rent” me one for 10 cents a day.
If Michael wants to take Gordon up on his $2.00 an hour rental offer, he should go home and get a watch and keep track of it himself. Surely at the age of 8 he’s learned how to tell time by now! Gordon may eventually grow up to be a good, decent, honest businessman . . . but that doesn’t mean that, at the age of 8, he’s already that honest and won’t try and scam $12 easy dollars out of his best friend if he can! After all . . . he’s still a kid!!!!!
