It would have been even better if it were Lucy that was being used as the kite. Sweet retribution for CB, even if only in a dream. But Lucy obviously wouldn’t have consumed a bedtime 30 inch pizza.

I have real weird dreams if I eat pizza before bedtime. Snoopy really had a nightmare there. I never saw this strip either. It must be a lost strip.

Even though Charlie Brown is at camp, he still is haunting people’s dreams.

I’ve never had a food-induced dream. Work-induced, yes. Monday night I dreamed I was teaching class, all night, after a very crowded day, and before yet another busy day. Felt like I got no rest at all.

I remember this strip, have it somewhere. There’s either a missing panel or a missing thought balloon though, at the beginning Snoopy’s thinking to himself ‘I must be out of my mind’ or something like that. Which I agree, he would be if that were actually happening!

Not sure if that’s a worse nightmare than sled dogging in the arctic and falling into the freezing water with the rest of the team…but either way lay off the bedtime pizza!

This is definitely one of my all-time favourites! I think I have at least three different books with this one in them!

If you keep eating 3 inch pizzas you’ll be to fat to move Snoopy!

@MadPunter – you are quite correct. This strip is from 6/6/1965. There was another panel right after the title panel, and that’s exactly what snoopy was thinking – “I must be out of my mind!”
