At least the previous owners also call him Willie. I forgot how Ruthie got the dog. If “Willie” was already on the name tag, then the identification for the previous or rightful owners would be there too.
The “previous owners” had to move into a pet-free home, and Ruthie’s family sorta took care of him, but Ruthie,being the possessive kid she is, thinks Willie is ‘hers,’ and is only trying to save her ‘possession’..Normal reaction.
I doubt it….I am sure her parents understand how she feels. If I were the other couple I would have told Ruthie and Joe right out the gate that it was only a visit so they would not worry and there would be less drama!!!
