If only the ‘leaders’ around the world would stop treating their people like a big bucket ’o soldiers. We all need to pray for better non-violent ways to solve our conflicts.
Whose brilliantidea was it anyway, in the first place, to celebrate Memorial Day at the beginning of summer? Not exactly a time conducive to commemorating the dead.
Mark, I get Lio e-mailed to me at work, so didn’t see this until today. However, in memory of my great-grandfather and both grandfathers, and on behalf of my father and my brother … thank you.
1: This is one of the reasons I love Lio; reminds me of Sep. 11 last year.2: It’s pitiful that I first thought of Transformers 2. “The Fallen shall rise again!”

Thank you Mark for remembering! Not many of today’s comic strips payed homage to our great American service men and women.
