As she was a teen mom, she was forced to put aside any spontaneity in favor of her kid’s needs. Of course she became a droll. She’s just re-learning how to let go again, now that the kid’s older.

And now they get arrested for skinny-dipping. And Gus has to get them out of jail (Arlo and Janis are too far away). But Gus can’t leave Meg alone, so Gene & Mary Lou experience the pleasure of having their (step) daughter getting them out of jail for indecent exposure! ;-)

OK, another clue to where they live? That river is huge! If those are trees on the other side, it is at least a half mile wide….The restaurant is in a resort area at the mouth of a river, where there are trees with Spanish moss…

Essentially they are finding they complement one another very well, and both need to move a bit towards the other. both have strengths that are very important, and both have weaknesses the other can fill-in for. I for-see a long and happy couple.
