A little late to still be wearing the rally cap, isn’t it? The guy in P2 have a broken neck, or is he some kind of mutant. Bobby’s hand is as big as Dinny’s head. On to the links Gil, the cart girls are waiting.
@desertdwir, they have this correct. Seven innings is standard for high school baseball. But how about this catch? It might be the greatest catch in the history of baseball at any level. Yesterday the outfielder was sprinting toward the fence and looking over his right shoulder. Somehow he got to the fence, vaulted into the air and spun his body around in one motion to take away a homer that would have cleared the fence by four to five feet. To do a 180 in midair while leaping that high is phenomenal.
High school baseball and softball are normally seven inning games, and sometimes double headers are two five inning games, sometimes seven, depending on time of year.
The catch is even more impressive since the LF boosted himself with his right hand by launching upward off that 4 ft. Little League fence in the friendly confines of Milford Memorial Park. No Coach Tod Andrews, check. No Trainer Rick Scott, check. Send Gil off to the CC and let’s focus on Mimi, the pool and Mojitoes.
I think the guy on the left in P2 is just doing his best Jim Carey imitation. P1, not only makes the catch, but does it with his right hand on top of the fence and while wearing sanitized shoe covers from an operating room.
Why isn’t the guy in P2 wearing his rally cap? I think we know who really blew this season for Milford. P3-Dinny writhes in agony as the aliens probe his brain.
Too late to be first to point out amazing spin-around in midair outfield man. As far as “too late to be wearing the rally cap” Bluedarter, he did put on the rally cap at the start of the inning a couple of days ago.How he kept the ball in place there all this time, including when he undoubtedly jumped up to see if it was going to be a homer is beyond me though. And since it has to be several minutes after the out it is odd to still have it like that.
I did not know that Dinny was Italian, nor that the left fielder was such a racist. Not exactly a kind way to end Shorty’s season. miffedmax… you just beat me to the Darby punch, by two hours I guess. There was a reason that Darby dated Bobby and not Dinny… and apparently it was two inches difference.

is the guy in P1 wearing shoes made of Flubber? Is it Clark Kent? Has a Milford team—any team—ever won a season?

I bet if he’d had a big “M” tattoo on his arm the ball would have cleared the fence.

Oh, and way to be a team player Dinny. Does not care about losing the championship, just that he can’t be “Mr. Big” now.

How did I know that Milford would lose. What a bunch of losers!! They never winn anything.

WAP! Appropriate slapping sound to spank an end to this non-season. How about a nice pool story?

Hey, the soccer team won the Valley. And it’s the only team Gil doesn’t coach…

“WAP! Season over!” How appropriate. In P2 – is Bobby wearing a rally cap or does he have a turtle on his head?
