Transcript:
Ralph: The worst part about getting a shot from the doctor isn't the needle... It's pulling off the bandage afterward! June: Just yank it and get it over with! Norman: People with hairy arms shouldn't get shots! Patrick: Tie it to the ceiling fan, like you did with my loose tooth!

I remember the pnuematic syringes from the military; no bandage, no moving, no feeling left in your shoulder

Before going to the doctor I shave the backs of my hands and the insides of my elbows. The stubble feels funny for a few weeks, but it’s better than the agony of pulling off that non-latex tape they use nowadays.

A bandage for a shot? Who gets a bandage for a shot?

Giving blood (vial or bag) are followed by a rather thick gauze pad and tape bandage. Most shots get a band-aid type. There is a hole in your skin that could let infection in while it lasts.

When I got blood drawn about 6 mos. ago I asked the tech to not put a band aid on. I held the cotton puff on until I got out the door and threw it away when I got out of the building. I saw no need to put the thing on if I was just going to take it off a few minutes later.
