Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Cats cool themselves by sweating through their paws.
Also, they groom themselves, moistening their fur with saliva.
At the point of stress, cats will pant like dogs.
Their favorite strategy, however, is to find a cool spot and chill out.
Iâm gonna miss olâ Ludwig when Arlo and Janis set sail on theâŠ
WELL, SHIVER ME TIMBERS, THEY HAVENâT NAMED THE SCHOONER!
Thatâll be a week-long story in and of itself. Will they name it after Janis, or after one of Arloâs clever turns of phrase?
Finally on Friday, Meg will blurt out the perfect name and thatâll be that. Saturdayâs strip will have some beach artist painting ithe new name on the stern, much to Megâs (and everyoneâs) joy.
Whereâs his little kitty TV tuned to animal planet? Come on, heâs got a little kitty lawn chair for Christâs sake! TV too much to ask? I donât think soâŠ.
Our little 7 pounder has the ASPCA on speed dial. Last week the air conditioner wasnât keeping up and she busted me on it âso $3000 later sheâs living the dream. We wouldnât trade her for the world!!!
My Maine Coon likes to stretch out near the air conditioner. My other cat, a domestic shorthair, curls up in front of the refrigerator so he can catch the warm air the compressor pours out. Two completely different reactions to the weather.
Thanks for the comments, folks. Yesterday I started being unable to get the comics easily on Internet Explorer (we donât have Mozilla Firefox), and thought it was just my computer. Also when in Gocomics.com, the computerâs url bar at the top and status bar at the bottom disappeared â had to hit Ctrl, Alt, Delete and call up Task Mgr. for the bars to reappear. Just started getting comics ok when using AOL.
Thanks for the comments, folks. I thought it was just my computer â trouble started yesterday. Sometimes I could get the comics by going back to earlier ones and sneaking up on them, today not at all. Also yesterday the url bar at the top and the status bar at the bottom would disappear when I was at Gocomics.com (had to hit Ctrl, Alt, Delete and call up Task Mrg. to get them back). Today after I turned the computer back on, they were there, but couldnât get comics to run (comments ok). Finally went to AOL and comics are fine (my last comment wouldnât submit, though).
Iâve put in two comments already, and theyâve disappeared. (Wasnât rude, vulgar, or anything.) I said that starting yesterday I had great difficulty getting the comics via Internet Explorer (also the url bar at top and status bar at bottom disappeared). We donât have Mozilla Firefox. Today had better luck via AOL, but itâs gotten really slow and Iâve gotten at least one little red âx.â Wonder where my comments are hiding.
Comics in IE in Vista stopped working, but I intentionally have Flash and Java uninstalled on that browser to avoid being bombarded with ads. Now you need those things to see the strip. Itâs been so long since Iâve seen the Go Comics ads that I found they play audio if you happen to hover the mouse over them to bookmark links. So now I have to mute audio just to read comics. sigh
HEY!! I FOUND MY COMMENTS! (Sorry, didnât mean to yell, but I was excited.) Theyâre not showing on the AOL Gocomics comments, but theyâre showing up here on Internet Explorer Gocomics comments. That is so surreal.
Cats were once a registered members of the crew. As long as a crew member is on board, it has not been abandoned. The inevitable rats provided the food until recovery.

You can also wipe down cats with a damp washcloth if itâs hot. They might look at you funny the first few times, but they come to appreciate it.

I have only seen one cat pant. That was in Phoenix on a 116-degree day.

Iâm not getting the strip. I get (32-hexit hexadecimal number)?width=900. Anyone else have this problem?

I donât see it either, trying the magnify button or the âprint comicâ button doesnât help.

That explains why they like the basement so much. Even when it gets hot down there, the floor is always cool.

I opened my fridge once and found my 20 lb yellow female happily curled up and yawning on the bottom shelf!

When they look like they are panting they are really pulling air over their Jacobsonâs organ.

If you want to find a cool spot in hot summer weather, just follow a cat. I learned this from the cat I had when I was 8 years old.

Our Tiger cat was panting the other day. It was 110* out. I wish this heat would break!
