Goat: Hey, guys. What are you doing? Rat: Playing 'Trivial Pursuit' against Jimmy the Jellyfish. Goat: Why are you playing against Jimmy? Rat: Because Jellyfish have no brain. Pig: What's the capital of Texas? Jimmy the Jellyfish: Blue. Rat: Aww, too bad, Jimmy, you lose again.

I wonder if Jimmy would have a better chance if just Pig played…

well, B.O.B. the Blob didn’t have a brain, coz, it just turns out you don’t really need one.

Brainless, spineless Loser! Rat’s favorite kind of opponent; but how is Jimmy managing to stay up there to play Trivial Pursuit, if I may ask a trivial question?

Sweet. Interesting juxtaposition of jellyfish with no brain and Texas, the no-bull state known for out-lying nearby Oklahoma as well as many other states and citizens of the Union. And of course to think that ‘blue’ could ever represent Texas on the map due to the uncanny prevalence and effect of brainless jellyfish which have over almost eons swept ashore with the tide, become light as foam and distintegrated into millions of tiny, airborn spores which fly on the breezes and have continually fastened on the heads, grown into the adult stage, and eaten the brains of the humanoids inhabiting thereof, thereby actually replacing most of the once-humane and welcoming Texas open-heartedness and mannerly humane functions with many simple, on-off automatic brainless motor, mental, especially verbal phases and behaviors…or so it would appear, as reported to me by several native Americans of good patriotic character and a couple of well-educated and American-favorable foreigners…all considered good judges of mankind by many…one wonders at the horrible fate of such poor, unhuman but still quiveringhuman-shaped creatures who have been at the mercy of these aireborn evansecent brain-eating jellyfish in further states, such as Arizona…which evidently suffers from the bain-brain-eating and substitute-process of the most virulent and strongest of the brain-eaters, the ones having been strong, virulent and dominant enough to cross the great expanse into Arizona, and thus the many primitive subhumanalities of behavior now exhibited by the jelly-fish-eaten brain-altered once-human citizens of Arizona. Pity, but there’s nothing to do. Like a drowningperson, it would be foolish to go in too quickly, they would strike out and climb on you in their desperation and their dumb, hysteric panic…instead of intervening now, we must wait until they go down for the third time, until they have exhausted their madness, and then we throw them a rope to sensibility and life again, if they merit it. If they really do foam at the mouth, then there really is only one humane intervention possible…they must be given release, blessed release from their earthly pains and thus deliver them from the curse of evil thoughts toward their fellow humans, Americans all. At that point they have, actually, become fetid zombies mostly, and there is only one thing to be done with them. Everybody undertsands that.

Jimmy the Jellyfish may be brainless, but he knows the sting of defeat.

I take offense that it portrays Jimmys in such a negative tone. Jimmys are a very proud people with a rich history, and we have brains (except for maybe Jimmy Olsen).

I have to stay out of Texas. All my exes live there, and they spend their time shopping with George Strait’s exes. Hey, George, got a new song for you, “Abilene Alimony Blues.”

Speaking of Texas: The major urban areas – San Antonio, Austin, DFW, and Houston are Blue. It’s the country folks that make Texas Red.

Capital of TX should be Yellow as in “Yellow Rose of Texas.”

Note that the Jellyfish has verbal skills but no brain. He should go into politics.

Actually, the capital of Texas is blue — a blue island in a sea of red, and ironically for those who say plenty of jobs, etc., in the state, the place where the jobs are and people want to move because of culture, parks, etc. Most people are not moving to Odessa, for example.

Not compared to the rest of Texas.

If jellyfish have no brain, then I guess Rat have no grammar.

I’ve often wondered why Democrats and/or liberals tend to congregate in urban areas and Republicans and/or conservatives tend to live in rural and small town areas. My opinion (for what it’s worth) is that small town and rural folk tend to be more independent, supporting themselves and their neighbors, while urban folk expect the government to assist them in time of trouble. I suppose this is simplistic, but it seems logical to me.
imbaldeagle about 12 years ago
And what’s the significance of “red” and “blue” – and who assigned them to the conservatives/liberals? If it were the liberals who assigned the colors, I would expect that red meant dangerous, unstable and violent – blue meant peaceful, as the blue water and blue sky. If it were the conservatives who assigned the colors, I would expect red meant patriotic and passionate, while blue was weak, protected and dispassionate.

His name is Jimmy. Pearls characters foretell their own death with their cutsie names. Die soon and humorously, Jimmy the Jellyfish.

Good one. Hey, um I’m close to the capital. Not physically, though. Here’s a hint my name is Dallas!

tigre1 called the entire populace of a state brainless. That’s hate speech. There are ethnic groups smaller than the populace of Texas. If tigre1 had said the same thing about them, we’d think her racist.
