In Calibre Press’ book STREET SURVIVAL: A Guide to Surviving Armed Encounters, there is a reference to a California officer doing just this ruse, and it worked there. Calibre Press does a lot of LE Survival work, thier training film Surviving Edged Weapons gave me a few gray hairs. I am not surprised Sam and Dick have read thier books.

I remember reading in one of the volumes of Chester Gould’s Complete Dick Tracy, that Dick was born in 1908, Man, he’s in good shape for 104.

come-on boys. this seems slow but the suspense is awesome.

I don’t know how much Tracy can fake- that one guy’s a surgeon.

And Stlletta says "Tracy has a bad heart? " She puts the pedal to the metal and careens through the streets, hoping to terrify him to death. It’s a crazy plan but she could make it work.

I think we all agree that this is some kind of thinly-veiled ruse. Franz may be, inter alia, a skilled surgeon, but apparently Sam and Dick are betting that he is not very quick on the uptake. Also: does Sam still have his Wrist Wizard?! Is this another coded message to HQ?

Gotta figure the odds of taking out the bad guys are better in a moving ambulance and closed quarters than at “the cabin” wherever that may be. Just a wild guess, but I’m thinking Staletta’s not going to buy it, and will just keep driving.

Note the beads of perspiration on Dick’s forehead. That is also a symptom of someone having a heart attack. Very well done guys!

She says that the trip will take an hour. To me, I would guess their destination is about 50 miles away. I’m sure HQ and the State Police have put out an APB on that ambulance.

I don’t see how Stiletta thinks she can drive a stolen ambulance for an hour and not get caught. You would think they’d have an alternative vehicle handy.

How much homework has Stiletta done on Tracy’s medical history? I’m guessing they did some research because of their plan so they might know that Tracy doesn’t have a heart condition. .Of course, at some point worrying about Tracy’s health just so they can kill him in a certain way is going to get a little too ridiculous.

“Not your BAD HEART!” had me laughing out loud (I hate LOL)!Franz is a doctor first, so he won’t question the ruse (unlike Stiletta).Remember, bad guys are usually not too smart (or they’d have chosen another profession). And when it comes to picking on Tracy, these guys are strictly amateurs going up against pros!

It seems like Sam’s acting skills could use a little work

HOLY STINKERS.My favorite recent Dick Tracy storyline has to be this one!. Dick spends, what seems to be four months in bed. Sammie sleeps on the floor, gets captured and demoted from Detective to ‘officer.’ He firsts loses Dick, then Sleepy-time Sammie is captured by Still-Let-Ya Vampire Hunter, who bears a remarkable resemblance to Morocco Mole.. Is it her Morocco Mole tail-like PONYTAIL? -- Her smoking? -- Or something else?. It’s an out there story. Everybody STINKS, I mean smokes -—-. And now we have to put up with Sammie’s ‘FUNNY BUSINESS’, I mean his BAD ACTING!!. Check out today’s LIO in gocomics to find where the ‘bus’ is REALLY HEADED!!. I’m surprised they haven’t put restraints on Sam instead of just insisting he keep his hands where they can be seen.The stolen ambulance and mock-up hospital room took a great deal of planning so I would think they might pick up on the ruse, maybe read those books themselves/My mother: 1908-1991.

just checked marvee, i was wrong.. i thought that when they rolled sam out from under the bed they had put cuffs on him… it owuld have made se3nse to have his hands cuffed IN FRONT of him tho, so that he couldnt use the wrist wizard to contact the chief.. but stiletta’s already assumed he called in the MCU so shes somewhat a step ahead of the team. i wanna see TESS take stiletta down!
