The wonderful thing about righties, or cartoonists, who don’t know squat about the subject matter. Far fewer regs under Obama, but industry is ticked the administration hasn’t written MORE, giving them control over agencies, like Bushco did.

I’m sure if we remove all the regulations the companies will know to do the right thing for themselves and customer, it is in their own interest just look at how safe the Oil industry is.

It’s not the regulations that are slowing this economy, its the GOP effectively sabotaging our recovery so they can claim that Obama could not pull us out of recession.

“8000 pages of new regs under your master BO, at least get some less pathetic lies little troll.”Speaking of pathetic little trolls… Do you actually know what you’re talking about, or are you just repeating what you heard like one of the obnoxious mindless parrots who frequent these fora?Exactly how did you come up with 8000? What specific regulations do you oppose? What specific regulations stifle businesses? How are businesses being stifled by said regulations?

Looks like this one back-fired, or aren’t you aware of the “gold” piled up by the US swim members and teams at the CURRENT Olympics. Typical GOP “take” – WRONG as usual.

The Federal Register is a dandy, and basically boring, document published as the source to review new regulations proposed by the government. The CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) is where they appear when, and if, finalized.

31 CFR in 2007 is particularly interesting, due to all the changes the Bush administration made to make things “easier” on offshore oil drilling companies, like well, BP. THAT worked out well!

Simple fact is, the current administration hasn’t been nearly as “busy” as the last, even though there ARE a lot of pages “adjusted” by agencies, either increasing, deleting, or modifying the Codes.

The REAL problem is the REPUBLICANS in the House constantly writing draft laws to bypass administrative authority, and directly make “regulations” “LAW”, ignoring the Constitutional role of the Executive Branch, these “conservatives” against “big government” want the House to micro-manage every day to day activity of every agency. Odd, how every one of these proposed LAWS gives ever more power to their corporate contributors, like big oil, big coal, big pharma, and big “farmers”(in three piece suits and offices, NOT on tractors!). The Federal Register makes regulation changes “Public” and available. By rewriting laws, or slipping riders into big, huge bills, these House members don’t WANT the public to be “aware” of what is happening. It’s a version of Mitt refusing to reveal his financial disclosure information, “catch me if you can”.

Jeff, seriously lay off the Limbaugh and TEA party propaganda! It’s seriously damaging your image, and brain. It was CHENEY, who came up with “unitary Presidency” as “king”, and they blissfully ignored Congress AND the Constitution for 8 years.
