Bill Watterson is the creator of Calvin and Hobbes, one of the most popular and well-regarded cartoon strips of the 20th century. Watterson drew the strip from its debut run on November 18, 1985, to December 31, 1995. In 1986, Watterson became the youngest person to win the prestigious Reuben Award for “Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year” from the National Cartoonists Society. He won the award again in 1988, and was also nominated for the honor in 1992.
Hobbes is a great spy…..whenever someone other than Calvin is in his presence, he instantly dons the disguise of a stuffed toy. Who needs a fly on the wall, when you have a spy like that?
Great glasses…Wonder if his back recovered from that chair? Betcha he still has it…he likes his furniture/furnishings.What a ten year run, best there was, maybe ever. All things must pass, things fall apart. What goes around comes around. The past is prologue. The past isn’t past,it’s still here.My Hobbes is contentious this morning…
The neat thing is Watterson never reveals whether Hobbes is real or not. Did Hobbes really write the notes or did Calvin imagine the whole episode having written the notes himself? We’ll never know. Again, the mastery and mystery of this great comic strip.
The world would be a better place if there were more spygers like Hobbs and less people that have to point it out that Hobbs is a figment of Calvins imagination. Yeah, we all got off the bus last night before the comics were posted. Sheesh

You can tell a really good spy by his lack of distinguishing characteristics.
