“I wonder how impressed Toni would be if she knew Luann and Brad had this “sweet” conversation while he was in the bathroom and getting dressed.”-There are strange people walking among us who would make anything of that.- On the other hand, I guess they were just brought up to never put on shirts in the presense of siblings.

Growing up in the same house, I’m sure that Luann, Brad and their parents have all seen each other in various stages of being not fully clothed.

Are you out of your mind? He’s her brother, I’m sure they’ve seen each other half dressed all their lives. Only a pervert would think anything else of it.

Toni – this is for a benefit – why are you dressed so masculinely? Take off the tie, don a more feminine overcoat, perhaps a nice feminine slacks with heels or skirt with strappy heels? You look like you are going to work, not going to a social event.

Betcha the ratings for this strip are going through the roof at the moment. Everyone loves the story with these two. You’d have to be a miseryguts to insist on going against the flow of quality plot development and resultant audience appreciation – why gratify in being unpleasant.

Toni and Brad are cute, and their banter is getting more and more edgy. Did I hear in the distance a faint ring of wedding bells?

Toni looks good – in coat & tie – a dress – anything – nothing.

Probably setting up for a Luann/Toni heart-to-heart talk.

I think that Toni will propose to Brad.

I don’t get the feeling that Toni is interested in a more serious relationship. This still reads as a casual anyday-type of conversation rather than a ‘finally-just you and I are together’ type of chat.

There’s nothing wrong with a woman wearing a coat and tie! Jeez.

Hiya Donny! Yeah, there is a lot of scope for bad boys to get some character development as well. Brad has done the dorkboy → Sensitive Masculine Hero transition very effectively. I’d be happy to see more mischief from TJ.Or how about The Darker Side Of Crystal?

Good point. In a “perpetual” strip it is very rare to have such radical character development. Go back to before 9/11 (in real time) and Brad is unrecognisably slobby and Big Brother nasty. It’s been a decade long arc by Greg, and we’re seeing the payoff.

You must not have any siblings close in age. They grew up together, when they were in single digit age they probably bathed together (parents are all for multitasking). Their mom changed their bathing suits on the porch when they were wet and muddy. They share that bathroom now. They have most likely been in the “stay in the shower I gotta pee” situation. And certainly they have had to get ready for school at the same time, probably fighting over the sink. That is normal life for siblings any thoughts of anything nasty would just bring a big “EEEWWW” from both of them. This is just the way of the world so please get your mind out of the gutter.

Yes, it’s the uniform.My own personal thinking – and I don’t apologize for it – is that women generally look silly in neckties. There are other forms of neckwear more appropriate for women, and look better, too. I do apologize that I don’t know the names for them, but they are nevertheless more suitable than four-in-hand ties.

Come on everyone knows a woman isn’t a real firefighter she should just show up in something out of Anne Eiffel’s closet because she is nothing more than eye candy…. \sarcasm
