just as every coin has but two sides (the edge doesn’t count) there can be only two political parties. democrat/republican, liberal/conservative, labor/management, etc.
You guys ARE on to something…please, may I share something? There ARE only three categories of response you can make about ANYTHING…the categories are. GOOD, or POSITIVE, or “I like this”…and “EVIL” and BAd and wimpy “unsuitable” or negative…that’s two of the categories…and the third is one of surprise, of honestly recognizing something you hadn’t encountered before…the pure Zen moment, if you will understand now.
So if somebody’s talking about Fords…what can he say? “I say Fords are the best and greatest”…that is, of course, a great big YES of approval…and Billy Jack-A replies, naturally,"Well, they ain’t worth sh#! (which is, also obf\viously. a ‘o’ or ‘bad’…)
And the conversation is pretty predictable. These aren’t very bright people, are they? A lot of political discourse isn’t much more than that. Actually, a lot of talk is that, period, no matter what it’s about…Americans used to be brighter and more subtle than this. I miss having smart people in my life, who know and understand stuff like this and USE it well…go ahead, thank me, dummy, don’t be ungrateful…(scolding…a ‘bad’, right? you’re getting it)
In 1824, 4 candidates ran for the presidency, all as Democrats. All Kevin needs to do is win enough electoral votes to prevent either candidate from getting a majority. At that point, it will be up to the House, and I’m sure a few “contributions” would help swing some votes his way.
Everybody thinks we have a two-party system, but really it’s a one-and-a-half party system. What the rest of us argue about is which wing of the Big Government Party we prefer — the one that accuses the other wing of wanting to push Grandma off the cliff, or the one that accuses the other of wanting to spend everything Grandson will ever earn before he’s even born.
Kevin should run as governor first. He would have a better chance at becoming prez then. It’s also actually possible to get elected as a third party candidate if running for governor.
