Re: Blog & palindromic place names—I spent a week in a cabin named Kinikinik located in Colorado. Now I once called Colorado home but am not aware of any such actual town of Kinikinik. Going to Google maps I see it’s not more than a spot beside the road.
Re: blog: “Modocrylic” maybe a mispelling of “modacrylic,” apparently modified acrylic. According to wikipedia, modacrylics went into production in 1949 and one of their uses is to make artificial hair for wigs:
For example: See Leviticus 18:22 — You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.
—Now in the next verse, 18:23; God specifically forbids both male and female bestiality. But in the verse before, he only forbids male homosexuality. The result we can draw from this?
GOD APPROVES OF GIRL ON GIRL ACTION!
(of course there’s the actual biblical scholars who will tell you that what what was actually forbidden was pederasty (Male on boy) which was common back then unlike homosexual relationships which were unheard of)
This expression is the mantra for a lot of the reich wing trolls that inhabit and inhibit the commentaries on several of GC strips. If you tell a lie often enough and loud enough, people will begin to believe it.
Thanks for the referral to this strip. My noggin hurts straining to fathom your posts, and will spend the rest of the day trying to figure out your post of this A.M. and still probably not succeed.
@ beviek…. ding-a-ling, ding-a-ling!That was some eggsquisite (apologies) egg salad sandwich, I must have the recipe, please!I agree that the stubbornness of peeling a fresh egg is futile! After finally cracking the code on why some eggs are more difficult to peel than others, my quest now is to see if there is a way around the fresh factor and I am excited ( must, resist, the puny ) about the oven method. It may fall on deaf ears by the time I conclude my studies and I may be rejected by the Lame standards of Frog Blog, but no matter! There is really no comparison, in my opinion, between a good, fresh egg from a chicken that has been allowed to forage for it’s food and a factory egg. Kind of like the difference between a store bought tomato and one from your garden.A store egg has a yolk the color of lemon.A home grown one has the color of saffron and is marvelous in flavor! But any-whoo, if chickens are laying boiled eggs in yer neck o’ the woods, I wonder what it would take for them to come out peeled also? ;)
