The Elderberries by Corey Pandolph and Phil Frank and Joe Troise for August 30, 2013
Transcript:
Miss Overdunne: Evelyn...I've asked you here to discuss your illegal pet - the feral cat you're feeding. Evelyn: That's not my pet! Miss Overdunne: The Elderpark Residents' Agreement clearly states in Paragraph 6, Subhead A.... Evelyn: I've read it, Ms. Overdunne! It says "pets". Technically, a feral cat can't be a pet, as it lives in the wild! Miss Overdunne: My authority extends to all of the property! Evelyn: I'll take this to the Supreme Court! Ms. Overdunne: You may find the Court isn't so pro-cat anymore!

I live in a condo where an elderly resident insists on feeding the feral cats against Da Rules. She acknowledges that rules are rules, she has made clear she’s never going to stop, so she simply pays her substantial monthly fine.

Its a shame. Pets bring such joy to seniors in homes. On visiting pet day everyone looks forward to it.
