Reminds me of how my brother used to act about certain kinds of food. It sometimes almost seemed as if taste was beside the point; if it looked âwrong,â he wanted nothing to do with it.

We called it cold food, because our mom would make us seat at the table until we ate it. I once held until midnight. Five whole hours.

My motherâs cooking was the worst; Brother and I stuffed a lot in the hollow legs of the kitchen table.
I LOVE waking in the morning, but I realize many do not.
