The transition from Alex putting down the book and Toggle not seeing that is interesting, especially with her last comment that seems out of character.

Good comeback Alex. It’s lovingly helpful with just a touch of easygoing humor. :)

Despite Alex ‘quitting’ on Aug 5th and supposedly ending Mike’s daydream of handing over to her, it does seem that Alex is now the eponymous character of the strip.

We already have a political battle between Dumb and Dumber. Wish we had better choices, or at least one good choice.

Maybe Alex was a virgin when she married Toggle? That would explain her sudden maturity. Women, who maintain their virgin status till marriage, usually act very mature after a few “grown up” nites of fun. I’ve met a few and seen them all go through this kind of change after the honeymoon.

Must be tough to be a senior citizen Republican on a Doonesbury thread, since GT is a liberal and Doonesbury is his creation. Can’t wait for GT to update his beloved strip. Some of the senior citizen Republicans on this thread really outdid themselves with their comparison of GT and/or the prez to Hitler, Pol Pot, etc. Wonder who would do such a thing?

It was my hearing, not TBI and eye, but my spousal unit was understanding for over 30 years, then I had to get hearing aids, and they helped my speech as well!!!

Alex is PERFECT! (Which means, just nuts enough.)

I know how he feels; some times the cognitive difficulties of Fibromyalgia leaves me speechless looking for the words that best represent any particular thought at any particular given point in time.

I know the feeling. I had an uncle who was a really strong stutterer, and I, too, enjoyed the suspense, especially when he told a joke. That made them several time funnier when he got to the end.
