I like Tauhid sidestepping the usual “let’s see you do it plot” as Donna understandably doesn’t want to eat what her husband would make. Or see him die. I mean he did say one of the stupidest thing any person can say to the person who normally does thanksgiving for them but that dosen’t mean she wants him dead. She just wants him to be less stupid.

Yeah, he’s gonna wreck it if he does it.

Uh oh…don’t have him make the dinner. You’ll get food poisoning.

Do you want Gene to give everyone food poisoning?

What’re they doing talking over the fence in the back yard? Shouldn’t they both be in the kitchen cooking?

I do all the cooking in our home. It’s a wonderful creative release.

That’s when we resort to plan B: Burger King on Thanksgiving.

Make home cook it? No. Make him stay beside you every step of the way? Yes.

Go on. If something bad happens to your husband/food/house, I’m sure your neighbor will be happy to have your whole family over for Thanksgiving.

The menu: Buffalo wings, chili cheese dip with chips, large pepperoni pizza, submarine sandwiches, beer, pop for the kids, store bought doughnuts for dessert.

It was always a joint effort between my Grandmother, aunts, and uncles when I was a kid. Working together was as much a part of Thanksgiving as the actual dinner itself.

I have a feeling Gene can cook a very good dinner and everyone will be surprised!

My recipe: turkey breast slices with mayo on pumpernickel, mac salad all washed down with egg nog! Then, go to bed. Perfect!
