I once told my foster mom I wanted to be Rambo when I grow up. On picture day, I insisted on wearing a white tank top like Kevin and jeans with a red bandana and black face paint smeared over my face. She then decided to blow it up into a full-sized poster to put up in the foster home’s living room wall. Say what you will about her, but at least she’s supportive of a kid’s dreams.
